COURSE DESCRIPTION
Abstract:
This webinar will outline unique wetland impact avoidance measures that Georgia Power used to minimize environmental impacts to rebuild four miles of electric transmission line through the tidal floodplain of the Little Ogeechee River.
Speaker's Bio:
Warren Wagner is a wetland scientist with a B.S. in Limnology from the University of Central Florida and has a Master’s Degree from Auburn University in Soil, Water, and Environmental Science. Warren is currently a Senior Environmental Specialist for Georgia Power Company on the Natural Resources Permitting team in the Environmental Affairs Department. He has 10+ years of experience with GPC and 25 years of experience working in the environmental science discipline for both private and government entities. He currently holds a Professional Wetland Scientist certification through the Society of Wetland Scientists. Warren’s role at GPC includes providing environmental permitting and compliance support for GPC construction and maintenance projects in the southeastern GPC service area.
